Akashic Records Self-Reflection Practice

As some of you will know, (especially if you are a regular podcast listener), I often go into my own Akashic Records to get suggestions for my spiritual practice for the upcoming week/month. A practice recommended by them that I have been absolutely loving, is this self-reflection practice that I want to share with you all today.

THE PRACTICE

Before doing anything in your day-to-day life, ask yourself the question “How do I imbue this with Love?”

To imbue is to fill or to permeate. The purpose of this practice is to fill or permeate your daily life with as much Love as possible. I will go into some practical suggestions of this below, but first, a couple of caveats:

THE CAVEATS

You will forget to do this during the day. When you do, that is completely ok. Rather than berating yourself, just try to remember next time. Self-judgement and shaming yourself are just unhelpful and completely the opposite energies of imbuing with Love.

Your daily spiritual practice and your daily life are interconnected. Yes, you may have a dedicated time set aside for certain activities that help you, but your practice is not supposed to begin and end at the yoga mat or meditation cushion. This is a practical way of honouring that interconnection.

PRACTICAL EXAMPLES

  1. When making meals for yourself/your family. Rather than rushing through the process, focus on the preparation and send the energy of Love and nourishment to the food. Some of you may like to pray over the food, others may prefer just to send the energy. Both methods work really well.

  2. In your relationships with others, especially the relationships you find difficult. Remember the aim here is to imbue FOR ALL PARTIES (that includes you). This is not people pleasing, fake niceities. Sometimes, the most loving thing you can do for all parties is to express a difficult and uncomfortable truth. The focus on the question ‘How can I imbue this with Love?’ will help you choose your words whilst also respecting your own energy and boundaries.

  3. Doing a physical activity, such as going to the gym. Rather than seeing it as a punishment, think about how loving it is to take care of your physical form in this way.

  4. In your spiritual practice. Oftentimes people can feel like they are ‘going through the motions’ with their spiritual practice, especially if they are practicing the same activity every day. Bring the generation of the energy of Love back to your spiritual practice by asking this self-reflection question.

  5. In your business. If you are a business owner, you have a lot of things to think about, especially if you are a solopreneur. By using the self-reflection question, it will help you get really focused on serving your clients AND it will help make running your business a much more authentic expression of you.

Obviously, these are very generic examples of how this question can be used but I hope that you try it out yourselves and I would love to hear how you get on.

HOW THIS ALL HELPS YOU ON YOUR SPIRITUAL JOURNEY

To finish up, I just wanted to go through a few ways that doing this self-reflection practice will help you on your spiritual journey:

  1. Be more mindful by focussing on each activity and interaction, rather than rushing off into the future or ruminating on the past.

  2. Be more compassionate towards yourself and others by shifting the focus to Love rather than judgement or comparison.

  3. Help you slow down by taking the time to observe yourself and reflect.

  4. Help you to consciously connect to higher vibrational frequencies.

  5. Help you to consciously connect to the higher chakras.

IN SUMMARY

The world does not need more information, more division or more consumption. But it definitely needs more Love.
