How to tell the difference between True Spirit Guides and False Guides
Everyone has Spirit Guides. In the Akashic Records, you work with your Akashic Records Guides, traditionally referred to as your Masters, Teachers and Loved Ones. You also have Spirit Guides for day-to-day life and to help you navigate the Astral Realm.
Today we are going to look specifically at the Astral Realm Spirit Guides as it is this category we need to consider when we are distinguishing between True Spirit Guides and False Spirit Guides. True Spirit Guides are those aligned with the evolutionary stream of consciousness. False Guides are those that are not.
THE ASTRAL LEVEL OF INITIATION-DISCERNMENT TRAINING
There has always been an acknowledgement in spiritual and esoteric systems that when we start to expand our conscious awareness, there is a period of time that we are connecting predominantly into the Astral Realm. This is traditionally referred to as the ‘Astral level of initiation’ or the ‘Second Initiation’.
The work that you do when you are connecting into the Astral Realm and the beings and/or energies within the Astral Realm is all about discernment. You are building the faculty (or organ if you prefer) of discernment. In order to build this organ, you are presented with energies and beings of the evolutionary stream and energies and beings of the devolutionary stream. Those that are aligned to supporting your soul’s evolution and expansion and those that are not. In the Astral Realm, the illusion of duality still exists and is experienced this way.
I want to make it very clear here that coming into contact with energies and beings of the devolutionary stream does in no way mean that you are a ‘bad person’ or that you are doing anything wrong. It is simply part of your soul’s development during this incarnation to learn discernment.
Through developing discernment you also develop the ability to tune into what resonates (i.e. what is in alignment to your soul) and what does not. Both discernment and resonance are essential on the journey to Spiritual Sovereignty.
Whilst I am today offering some ‘guide points’ to help you determine if the beings and/or energies you are connecting in to are evolutionary or devolutionary, these are in no way an exhaustive list or for you to follow blindly. Ultimately, you want the organ of discernment to guide you and to not rely on a list.
DIFFERENCES BETWEEN TRUE SPIRIT GUIDES AND FALSE SPIRIT GUIDES
False Guides bring with them an ‘air of superiority.’ They place themselves above you. True Spirit Guides will treat you as an equal.
False Guides demand you worship them or put them on a pedestal. True Spirit Guides do not.
False Guides will give you instructions and tell you what to do. True Spirit Guides will offer guidance and recommendations but will not interfere with your free will.
False Guides will promote external spiritualisation (i.e. that you need something or someone outside of yourself to evolve as a soul), whereas True Spirit Guides will remind you that you have everything you need within you for this lifetime.
False Guides focus on disempowering narratives (such as Earth is a prison) whereas True Spirit Guides focus on empowering narratives (such as Earth is a school)
Communication with False Guides feels contractive, disempowering and uncomfortable. Communication with True Spirit Guides feels expansive, loving and empowering.
Look at whether or not the guidance ‘bears fruits’ (i.e. helps you spiritually evolve). If it does not, it may be coming from False Guides. If it does, it may be coming from True Spirit Guides.
False Spirit Guides will appeal to your Ego whereas True Spirit Guides will appeal to your Soul.
Ultimately the question to ask is does this connection feel empowering and expansive or not?
IN CONCLUSION
It can be extremely exciting when you start to connect into different beings and/or energies with your intuitive abilities. However, please do not leave common sense at the door. If you just met a stranger in the street and they started giving you life advice, you would not just automatically do as they say. You would listen and think. The advice may be good and that would be great, but you would not assume so out of blind obedience. Take this approach with you into your work in the Astral Realm and gently navigate your way through. That way, you will be strengthening that organ of discernment, part of your internal technology.
And remember, if you do happen to come across a being and/or energy you do not resonate with, that is completely ok too. It is just part of the Astral Realm training and does not mean you are in any way bad or broken.
